Eureka moments really do happen, it happened to me. It has started one of the most exciting times of my life. It takes a vast amount to shut me up but when i saw the concepts that had been created from my patent, I was totally speechless, my heart raced, my cheeks flushed. Wow!

There are so many visions in my head that are keeping me awake a night. I cant help but want to get started working on realising these dreams. I know that this will be the start of something great... if i could just manage to commit to it - maybe take a few more risks, the greater the risk, the potentially better the gain, isn't that right?

I interviewed some of the people that have been on Dragons Den for our business magazine titled Business World which you can download from www.lightloadlifestyle.com I found it very interesting and also clever how some of these people decided beforehand what their intention was for going onto the show.
It was also clear to me that the show does not only look for people who have a real chance of gaining funding but they also look for people who have no chance just so they can make the sh…

What a long time since I've updated - I did another charity fair but it was hardly worth the effort. If I am paying a fixed fee then the organisers need to make some effort to push the customers past my stall. This one was almost designed to minimise sales - only one stall out of 10 did really well. However, I was able to listen to comments on my new items and even sell a bit. I've now added more freshwater pearl items to the range (must put some photos of those on here).

I run a freelancing writing and marketing agency in Northern AZ 2 hours from the closest airport and half an hour from a Fed Ex store. I recently came across a hosted videoconferencing and collaboration tool that makes my company look a lot bigger and lets me edit and present to clients nationwide without an overnight bag

Hi Everyone
I've only just started listening to the smallbiz podcasts and am really enjoying them. Gives me something more meaningful to listen to instead of just music on the bus!
I am currently in the process of setting up my first small business. This is at the moment a very simple idea but one which will allow me to go through all the processes and learn a great deal as I have to be honest, I am struggling massively with the idea of taking that BIG first step of giving up a…

I just read Tim Ferriss' book "The 4-Hour Workweek - Experiments in Lifestyle Design"
It talks about the 80/20 rule (80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts&actions), taking mini-retirement vacations, how to NOT defer your LIFE 'till your old --how to
live the millionaire lifestyle now, even on average wages.
I'm trying to find ways of using
automated business and marketing techniques, and web 3.0 organizational tools,
to get more done in less time.…

Let's face it. Microsoft Office Professional usually runs at €300+ per seat depending on volume, special deals & the phase of the moon. While that isn't the biggest outgoing for an SME, it adds up, and there is an alternative that is becoming increasingly attractive not least, because it's free.
I'll write again on what that word "free" means because it's a little deeper than first impressions but for the moment you can take it to mean "involves no financial cost". It IS NOT the sam…

Having set the account up & getting this far - I'll have to push off & do some real work. But for anyone interested, I'll list a bunch of Open Source Software-based topics I can do a postlet on. Comments welcome & any requests will of course be considered (just avoid Neil Diamond).
- OpenOffice vs Microsoft Office: Save several hundred quid per seat?
- Is Linux a viable alternative to Windows: Dell thinks so (Part 1 - Options)

Does anybody want to take part in a usability study for designers? Just
a bit of fun really to bring usability into the limelight and raise a
discussion. The idea is I want to grab a handful of designers that also
blog and supply you all with a set of graphics outlining all the
typical features of a website, navigation area, content area etc. I
already have some top designers interested in participating including
Jason Santa Maria, Cameron Adams, Mark McGrath, Mike Cherim,Mike
Jolley, Will Smith…

Hi everyone, have been busy connecting with many people on a range of social networking sites; Facebook, MySpace and at BTTradespace too. I wondered if people were interested, I would post my rss feeds for these. There might just be an interest in the other forums, groups I've created and networks I'm on.
So first one to be posted is BTtradespace:

Hello,
I made a new song today ("Machine's Are My Friend") it's kinda a new style im working on. Bringing on a nice old school house beat with some 70's 80's synths and some newer vsts a nice almost downtempo'ish rythm with a tech house vibe mixed in with a hint of acid house.
Feel free to use it in podcast if you want too. Otherwise have a listen and let me know what you think.
