Having set the account up & getting this far - I'll have to push off & do some real work. But for anyone interested, I'll list a bunch of Open Source Software-based topics I can do a postlet on. Comments welcome & any requests will of course be considered (just avoid Neil Diamond).

I have gone down the Open office route. Unfortunately, I have experienced too many untimely crashes and lost work for me to continue working with it.
As for moving peeps to MYSQL - make sure you check the way you ship your product against the MYSQL terms of use and be prepared to pay licensing fees as required.
I am very interested in your idea for a business based on open source. Im an IT consultant and many of my customers are small businesses. I'm slowly moving people from MS SQL server to MySQL but I would love to be able to get them off MS Office, Windows Small Business Server etc. I think it will take some careful planning, configuration and hand-holding but I think it might be possible.
Id like to hear more about your ideas.
David.
